We’re setting the table for the Anvil Island community to come together to build massive improvements to the camp. Together we can make sure there’s room at the table for kids for years to come.
Meals are shared, memories are made, our most significant life moments are celebrated. Laughter and tears are equally welcomed at the table.
At Anvil Island we are making room at our table for more life changing moments. We want to build space for campers to build community, find love and support and have life-changing experiences with Jesus around our table for generations to come.
Every summer, over 900 campers, mostly kids and teens, join us at Anvil Island for an incredible camp experience. It is our passion and joy to see these campers connect to each other, our staff, and grow in their relationship with Jesus through their time at camp.
Our most used building at camp is the Dining Hall. The Dining Hall is the center of activity, the heart of camp. A place where we share meals, gather for entertainment, welcome vulnerability and create deep and meaningful memories. Every time we walk in the Dining Hall, we feel the accumulated years of life-changing moments held within its walls.
This important space needs more than significant repair and restoration to continue to serve the Anvil Island campers – it needs to be replaced.
There are some other important upgrades for us to make at camp in order to carry on our legacy and set us up for long term solutions to the challenges of aging infrastructure. Our redevelopment plan also includes:
The reality is that our current dining hall is crumbling around us.
There are holes in the foundation and all kitchen facilities need to be upgraded. We are concerned that if we don’t start the work of replacing this building with a new dining hall, we will be left with nowhere to safely feed our campers. The dining hall is the heart of the camp. We cannot be left without this key space for gathering, connecting and sharing life and meals around the table.
It’s time to take action, welcoming new campers to join familiar faces. A new dining hall will allow this powerful ministry to continue.
Sharing tables is one of the most uniquely human things we do. No other creature consumes its food at a table. And sharing tables with other people reminds us that there’s more to food than fuel. We don’t eat only for sustenance.

At Anvil Island, we welcome 100 kids each week of summer. Everyone who spends any time at Anvil Island, or who sends a loved one to spend time with us, benefits from the practical and relational experience of the Dining Hall.
We believe this dining hall will expand the work of Daybreak Point Bible Camp on Anvil Island for 80 more years and beyond!
We are currently pulling together our team. Practically, this means meeting with designers and contractors and mapping out a plan. We are also reaching out to you – our community, to share the vision and ask you to join us in extending the reach of our table by building a new dining hall.
Our goal is to break ground for the new dining hall as soon as possible so we’re ready to welcome back campers to the new Dining Hall in the summer of 2025.
We anticipate the cost of the new Dining Hall to be at least $5 million. We want to have most of this raised before we break ground. We know we have been blessed with a giving community. We have received a miraculous donation allowing us to donation match up to $2.5 million. For every dollar you donate, our anonymous donor will match your donation.
We know we have been blessed with a giving community. The Daybreak Point Bible Camp community has over 2000 people who believe in the mission of sharing the love of Jesus with kids and teens through an amazing summer camp experience. In the past, this group has generously come together to help us raise money for projects such as road work and staff housing.
We are praying and trusting that our faithful community, along with new friends, will help us build a new dining and create more opportunities for our campers to connect in a Christ centred space.

Barry Jones – A Place At The Table
Started by a group of committed Christians with a vision, we have welcomed campers and their families for over 80 years to join us for an incredible week of friendship, support and connection to Jesus. Our volunteers and staff have a passion for children and teens, a desire to serve and support parents, campers and a deep love for Jesus.
We are dedicated to the message we share with our campers – the message that Jesus loves them and has a plan and purpose for their life.
Do you know where we share this message? At the table.
Thank you for partnering with us to make this necessary improvement to Daybreak Point Bible Camp on Anvil Island.
